Position:
· Programmer/Analyst II or Sr. Programmer/Analyst (Depending on experience and skills)
Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of a Project Leader or Sr. Programmer/Analyst to support, maintain, enhance, design, develop and document custom business applications.
- Sr. P/A – Should be able to take technical lead role on medium to large projects.
- Work with DBA and other developers to design databases and write database stored procedure.
- Promote best practices and methodologies within the software development group.
- Draft technical documentation in tools such as UML and / or Visio.
- Conduct demonstration of software to business units and clearly explain features to the common users.
Requirements:
- Degree or advanced degree in relevant major or equivalent experience.
- P/A II Position: Minimum 6 years of software design and development experience.
- Sr. P/A Position: Minimum 8 years of software design and development experience, two years in a leading role.
- Extensive knowledge and involvement in the analysis and development of custom business software, preferably in the insurance or financial industries.
- Expert at development with demonstrable skill of toolset, including language, class libraries, database modeling, query language and trigger, screen design, workflow and general PC environment.
- Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle is required. Including design and development using object-oriented architecture.
- Required Programming Languages: C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, T-SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML
- Required Programming Languages for Sr. P/A: WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), Team Foundation Suite, LINQ (Language Integrated Query).
- Required Database Experience: MS SQL Server and T-SQL Stored Procedures.
- Required Database Experience for Sr. P/A: Design and Implement Logical and Physical databases using Database Modeling Tools.
- Platforms: Windows
- Knowledge in Insurance or financial industries is a big plus.
